THE VILLA (see photos below)
The villa is set over two floors and comprises 5 large bedrooms, including 4 king size double bedrooms and a double bunk room for the kids. There is one large bathroom including bath, shower and WC, a further shower room with WC and another separate WC.
The villa benefits from a spacious living area and separate dining room. It has a very large private garden with separate outdoor kitchen with additional BBQ facilities. On the second floor you have an extensive terrace with unimpeded south facing views of the mountains. It is less than 5 minutes from Stari Grad's riva with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops. It is under 10 mins walk to the town's most popular swimming area.
The villa has recently been refurbished to a high standard and comes equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, iron, hair dryer, all cooking and kitchen utensils as well as an outdoor BBQ.
The villa comfortably sleeps 8 adults and 4 children.
It is located in the oldest part of the old town and is surrounded by several historic churches. The old part of Stari Grad feels like the set of a movie, with perfect alleys opening out into small piazzas and chruch squares, and has a number of interesting historic buildings, including:
• Tvrdalj, the restful summer house and walled garden of the Renaissance poet and aristocrat Petar Hektorovi. The centrepiece is a cloister surrounding a turquoise pond stocked with mullet.
• The Bianchini Palace, which has a display of finds from the original Greek settlement, Pharos.
• The 15th Century Dominican monastery, which has a museum with a fine collection of Greek gravestones and a work by the Venetian master Tintoretto.
• The 12th Century Romanesque church of St John.
• The fine Dalmatian Baroque St Stephen’s Church.
